Accounting & Reporting SystemŪ (CARS)
is a
unique software program designed specifically to assist
Peer Review Organizations in implementing the accounting
requirements of the Health Care Financing Administration
for the Medicare program. Integrated with ACCPAC
International's accounting modules, CARS provides a
comprehensive financial management tool for PROs. CARS
can also function either as a stand-alone cost
accounting system or in conjunction with your existing
reporting system.

Accounting and Allocation SystemsŪ
(GAAS) Hospitals that receive more than
$300,000 in federal and/or State funding
($500,000 after year-end 2003) are likely to be
subject to the audit requirements of OMB
Circular A-133. If you don't comply with these
requirements you are considered in default of
the grant and risking the possible suspension or
loss of federal/State funding.
It is not enough to
just contract for an A-133 audit; you must
comply with the underlining accounting
policies. From our experience, hospital
accounting systems are not designed to handle
the unique accounting and reporting requirements
of the federal/State government.
